Dr. Joseph T. Varghese has been our Chief Physician for over 20 years. His father, Vaidyakalanidhi T.T. Varghese, a renowned Ayurvedic physician himself, trained Dr. Joseph in Ayurveda during his formative years. Besides keenly observing from close quarters his father treating patients, Dr. Joseph was actively involved in collecting herbs and preparing the necessary medicaments himself. He completed his Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine degree from the Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura. 

 

To understand in depth the intricacies of the varied modalities of treating patients, he studied further under the scholarly physician, Ramankutty Warrier, in the traditional Gurukula method. He was instrumental in assisting his Guru in treating several patients affected with Rheumatic fever which was prevalent in Kerala in the 80s. While he specialises in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, during the 45 years of his practise, he has had a very versatile experience successfully treating several ailments that are said to be incurable.
