| This

b). Njavarakizhi: Bolus of boiled njavara

Vasti
(Enema)
a)
Kashaya Vasthi: It is a type of medicated enema.
It is done by mixing medicated oil, honey, decoction, milk
etc. This is very effective in rheumatism, neuralgia, sciatica,
back pain etc.
b)
Sneha Vasthi: It is an enema by medicated oil. This
is used for paralysis, rheumatism and other neurological conditions
like nueralgia, motor neuron disease, sciatica, back pain
and also used to get power and stability in old age and for
vitality.
c).Virechanam
(Purgation): It is a type of medicated purgation
using medicated ghee, oil, powder etc. It is used for purifying
the elimentary canal. It gives power to body and mind.
d).Vamanam
(Emesis Therapy): It is the therapeutic vomiting
to eliminate the kapha causing excess of mucus, thus relieving
one of bronchitis, cold, cough, asthma etc.
c).Nasyam
(Elimination of toxins through the nose): It is the
nasal application of medicine in different forms like Powder,
Oil, Ghee, decoction and juice. It is mainly used in sinusitis,
headache, cervical spondylosis, hemiplegia, parkinsonism,
